Eclipse has been waiting a long time for a new family, since she was a small kitten. She was brought to our shelter at 5-6 weeks old, after she was found in an overturned trash can, her back legs paralyzed. She could only lay flat on her side when she first came to us. We took her to the vet for an x-ray and were pleased to find she had no broken bones. With a leap of faith and determination to save this sweet girl’s life, we opted to start her on antibiotics to see if they might help her regain her mobility. After just one dose of antibiotics, we returned to work the next morning to find her sitting upright, though still very wobbly. We continued her antibiotics and she continued to improve. In no time at all she was running and playing with the other kittens! She amazed us all with her fighting spirit. She was lovingly nicknamed, “Wobbles” by her foster mom. She can now run like the wind and play just like any other kitten, but will most likely always have a slight wobble. To us, its just a reminder of the miracle that took place enabling her to walk again. Eclipse is around a year old, DSH, good with other cats. She will make a wonderful companion for a family willing to give her a chance! Stop by our shelter and meet her.
